Moving Customer Follow-Up from Personal Tools into a Company CRM
Project Background
As the sales team grew, leads became scattered across personal WeChat accounts, phone contacts, and separate spreadsheets. Customer ownership, follow-up history, and project progress could not be reviewed consistently.
Consulting sales cycles can be long and may involve several contacts and requirements at different stages. The company needed to retain the communication history, not only a customer name, so established context could continue through collaboration and staff handovers.
Design and Implementation
The CRM includes customers, contacts, opportunities, follow-up records, contract status, and payment records. Different permissions for management, sales leads, and sales staff keep customer information within the company system.
Contacts, opportunities, and follow-up history stay connected to each customer and its business context. Contract and payment records extend that view through later project stages.
Each role sees the information needed for its work. The interface emphasizes the current customer stage and previous activity so a new owner can understand the history before continuing the conversation.
Final Presentation
Customer follow-up and project records remain in the company system for management review and sales handover.
The CRM provides a maintainable internal customer history, reducing dependence on individually organized files and giving management a clearer view of progress.
