Connecting Orders, Production Stages, and Inventory in One System
Project Background
The company tracked orders and production progress through Excel, WeChat groups, and paper documents. Updates reached departments at different times, and checking an order’s status depended on asking other staff manually.
Furniture production requires continuous coordination between sales, the workshop, and the warehouse. Progress, material, and delivery information must stay connected to each order so different roles can work from the same status instead of passing updates through several people.
Design and Implementation
The internal system records orders, production stages, materials, inventory, delivery, and role-based permissions in one place, with data and actions limited according to each role.
Orders connect production stages, material requirements, inventory, and delivery status. Staff record updates during their own work, and relevant colleagues can review progress against the same order.
The interface prioritizes current tasks and key status information. Role-based access supports daily work and management review, while inventory and materials remain part of the production flow rather than becoming separate digital copies of old spreadsheets.
Final Presentation
Order status, production stages, and inventory can be reviewed together, supporting coordination between sales and the workshop.
The system gives the team one information base for tracing each order, identifying the affected stage when an issue occurs, and planning delivery from clearer status records.
